Faculty Council Meeting

President Halligan called the meeting to order with the following members present: Achemire, Binegar, Bost, Breazile, Comer, Dickman, Eastman, Edgley, Fletcher, Fournier Gasem, Gregson, Hoffer, Holcombe, Hsu, Hyle, Martin, Masters, Mayer, Perry, Sanders, Veenstra, Warde, and Weeks. Also present: J. Bittman, S. Harp, J. Hodgson, B. Huss, E. Hufnagel, M. Keener, L. Miller, V. Mitchell, G. Trennepohl, N. Watkins, and E. Woodley. Absent: Dohoney, Faltyn, Kimbrell, Peeper, Schestokat, and Wetzel.

Faculty Council unanimously approved Khaled Gasem to replace A. J. Johannes on Council through May 31, 2001.

Brenda Masters moved acceptance of the February 13, 2001, Minutes with one correction. In Dean Johnson's Special Report, pg. 2, 1st paragraph, line 12, the word "banning" should be "banding." James Breazile seconded the motion. The Minutes were approved as corrected. Brenda Masters moved acceptance of the March 13, 2001 Agenda. Jacque Fletcher seconded the motion. The Agenda was approved.

The meeting adjourned at 4:25 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Faculty Council is April 10, 2001 and the Spring General Faculty Meeting is April 17.
