REPORT OF STATUS OF FACULTY COUNCIL RECOMMENDATIONS:
President Halligan, Executive Vice President and Vice Presidents
00-11-01-BUDG Guidelines for Third Summer Month Salary for 9- or 11-Month Appointments (Response from Faculty Council): Under review. The Council endorses the view that payment could be for research, service or teaching activities and could be from state funds. Dr. Keener discussed the recommendation with the deans at the February Deans Council meeting. A subcommittee is reviewing the recommendation and it will be discussed again at an upcoming meeting.
99-09-01-FAC Criminal and Credit Background Checks for Potential Staff Employees: Under review. A meeting was held January 18 during which Faculty and Staff Advisory Council representatives and others discussed and finalized draft recommendations. Awaiting a final draft from Dr. Birdwell's office.
00-12-02-FAC Sabbatical Leave Recommendation: Under review. Recommendation was discussed at the February Deans Council meeting. A subcommittee is reviewing the recommendation and it will be discussed again at an upcoming meeting.
01-02-01-ASP Amendment to the Academic Appeals Board (AAB) Policy and Procedure Letter 2?0821: Under review. Requested modifications are being reviewed by Academic Affairs' administrators.
01-03-01-FAC Removal of Social Security Numbers from General Use at OSU:
Accepted in principle (4/3/01). Dr. Keener has requested that R. Dahl and J. L. Albert work with the SCT Project Team, and others as appropriate, to actively seek out a method to accomplish this objective.
01-04-01-BUDG Market-Driven Salary Increase to Tenured and Tenure-Track Faculty:

01-04-02-BUDG Faculty Participation in Shaping Fund-Raising Goals: To President Halligan.
01-04-04-RP Proposed Name Change for Long-Range Planning Committee:
To President Halligan
President Halligan introduced Sally Henderson, new representative from OSU/OKC. She is substituting for the previously elected OKC member through May 31 and then has been elected, by that campus, as their representative for a three-year term. President Halligan welcomed her to Council.
