Cowboy Basketball Means Much to Overseas Soldiers

The following e-mail was received today from Lt. Col. Bill Gray in Afghanistan, who says that many OSU fans in that nation have been cheering for the Cowboys. They include soldiers from the 45th Infantry Brigade, Camp Phoenix, who are training the new Afghan National Army, and soldiers at the Office of Military Cooperation where Col. Gray works. "Some of us caught the game early this (Sunday) morning," he writes. "You may not realize the significance that this achievement back home holds for many of us on duty here overseas. Please pass on to the AD, Coach Sutton and all the players --- congratulations on making it into the Final Four, and we’re confident that you’ll go all the way to a National NCAA Basketball Championship! We are all proud of the athletic and other achievements of Oklahoma State University."
